The SCIENCE OF THE CARDS(Tarotology)

THE CARDS:  What They Are?

The Cards are a paradox:  As we use them here, they are not  a 'game' or a diversion; yet, they are  fun.  They are not escapism... they are a tool for understanding life, yourself, your options.

The ordinary playing Cards are markers of moments in time, that inter-relate and sequence with each other in an extremely varied but repeated pattern.

The secrets of the playing cards, properly read, are a key to unlocking the secrets of time.  For each person, we begin with the moment in time marked by the person's birthday.

No one knows when this system of reading the ordinary playing cards began.  It seems to be in some way related to the tarot cards, but it is probable that the playing cards preceed the tarot cards.

Amazingly, the cards perfectly mimic an Earth-year in its annual cycle and sub-cycles.

For example:

  • There are 52 cards in a deck, which correlates with the 52 weeks in a year.

  • The four suits coincide with the four seasons, or, astrologically, with the four elements.

  • Each suit contains thirteen cards, Ace through King.  These thirteen cards correlate to the thirteen weeks in each season.

  • In the entire deck, the marks on the cards (the "pips"), when all added together, total to 364, and adding the Joker, the  total  becomes 365, which is the number of days in a year.

  • As stated, there are 52 cards in the deck; if we add these numbers, 5 + 2 = 7; 7 is the number of days in a week; it is also the number of visible planets in our solar system (and the number of our chakras)

  • Not only do the suits of the cards have meaning, the numbers of the cards have meanings as well.  There is a suit for each season and element, each with its own metaphysical meaning.

  • The deck is composed of two colors (black and red), which correlate to night and day

  • In the deck there are 12 Court cards, which relate to the 12 months of the year, and to the 12 signs of the zodiac.

  • There are 13 values assigned to the cards, which correlate to the 13 lunar cycles in the year.

The cards have an ordered sequence, as well as a pattern of movement, that makes it possible for us to understand trends: past into future.

The playing cards are an esoteric predictive tool that was hidden (presumably by the ancients) in plain sight.
