INFORMATION ABOUT FENG SHUI

What it is:

According to ancient Chinese teachings, each of us is born with three kinds of ‘luck’ or ‘fortune’: “Heaven Luck” (one’s destiny, the ‘stars’), “Man Luck” (one’s family/tribe), and “Earth Luck” (the realm of Feng Shui). And it is Earth Luck (the realm of the “Earth Energies”) which is most readily under our individual control, and which we can most easily change for the better. Feng Shui is the ancient art of understanding and utilizing these energies of the Earth. One could call it the original "GREEN TECHNOLOGY".

Known as the “Art of Placement”, Feng Shui uses cleansing, clearing, and ancient, time-tested techniques to bring vital energy (“Chi”) into your space and into your life.

Traditional Feng Shui, whose origins date to more than 5,000 years ago, is the oldest form of Feng Shui in use today. It teaches that, surrounding and permeating the physical world, there are powerful currents of Energy/Life-Force (“Chi”) flowing throughout the universe. This energy is destructive or nurturing, depending on how one is accessing it, cultivating it, and aligning oneself to it through environmental cues. Feng Shui teaches us how to maximize the Chi flow, and align to it, to maximize benefits to our space and our lives.

Application of Feng Shui principles is very specific to the given place and space (whether it is a home, an office, a business, a garden/outdoor space, an office, or even an office-cubicle or desktop. etc.). Assessments are done through careful observation, compass readings, and measurements, carefully noting architectural structure, topography and environment, and existing energy patterns.

What It does:

Feng Shui takes one beyond architecture, design, and décor, into “space-as -extention -of -self”. Feng Shui teaches that Space (or place) is not inert; it has a palpable, organic, responsive quality, and it conduits the energy flow (chi) essential to life itself. It is the quality of this energy flow with which Feng Shui concerns itself.

Instead of simply warehousing you and ‘your stuff’, your space takes on a “placental function”, nourishing and protecting... literally “growing” ... your dreams, your relationships, your life, and facilitating the emergence of your true Being.

Feng Shui readings/assessments can be applied to virtually any space: residential (apartment or house), commercial/business/office, or garden/landscape. It can be applied to a space of any size, from a desk-top, to a cubicle, to a room or office, to a home or apartment, to a building, to a city… even to a country.

INITIAL FOUNDATION FENG SHUI ASSESSMENT

Feng Shui can be applied to:

Residential Space (house, condo, apartment)

Business / Commercial Space / Retail Space (an entire building; space within a building; a suite of offices; a single office; a cubicle, or even a desk-top

The Initial Feng Shui Assessment is a timeless investment which will benefit you for as long as you reside in your home, or work in your commercial space.

It is the necessary foundation which allows you to uniquely utilize the Annual Flying Star assessments, and it is a tool without equal for fully benefiting from your home/business space, fully supporting the individuality of each resident / occupant (of the nuclear resident group), for making wise choices regarding remodeling, and even for securing the best value if you decide to sell.

Prerequisite: a set of accurate floor plans (non-returnable) (1/4 architectural scale, preferably); should include magnetic compass directions

A Traditional Feng Shui Initial Assessment can encompass all or part of the following:

Assessment of the specific space (house/building) as well as the surrounding environment
Accurate magnetic directional measurements and demarcations (Lo Pan compass)
demarcated floor plans (made from floor plans you provide/contract for), indicating energy-sectors (energy grid) of the house/structure
Recommendations regarding colors, structure design, object arrangement, and space utilization
Formulation of the Geomantic Chart specific to the house (based on the house’s Cycle), which allows for a determination of its permanent energy signature. This, in turn, allows an assessment of its interaction with annual Flying Star Energies; these Flying Star energies change each year, and must be updated each year, specifically relative to their interaction with the permanent energies shown in the Geomantic Chart .
Flying Star recommendations for the current year
(Following your Initial Feng Shui Assessment, it is recommended that Flying Star Assessments be updated annually, beginning in the year following the initial assessment; this is a separately contracted service).
Analysis of Kua Numbers and energy profiles of immediate residents: Personalized for each family member-occupant, including positive and negative personal directions/locations and ‘guardian stars’/elements
Identification of the “nine palaces” within your home/office, and specific Feng Shui recommendations regarding them; these are the nine sectors of your space corresponding to the nine “fortunes” which, Feng Shui teaches, are essential for happiness (including health, abundance /wealth, career, family, marriage and personal relationships, creativity and children, mentors/community, personal growth/enrichment, status/honors)

Distance Consultations: While traditional on-site assessments are preferred, this service is being made available to meet present-day needs. Assessments done at a distance (by phone and e-mail/mail ) are possible, provided certain simple conditions are met, including provision of accurate floor plans marked with magnetic compass directions, and interior - exterior site photographs (floor plans and photos are non-returnable) (you will be guided through easy instructions when you schedule your appointment). Fees, prepaid, are comparable to on-site assessments.

Annual Flying Star Assessments:

This deals with the Time Element of Feng Shui. It is a precise tracking of migrating energies, called “Flying Stars”. These energies, following a complex pattern, move to a new compass direction at the beginning of each New Solar Year (Chinese calendar), and must be precisely tracked regarding their compass direction. They are pinpointed within the map of your space; i.e. the movements of the Flying Stars for the current year are overlaid with your home's Geomantic Chart. Specific recommendations are made for neutralizing the negative Flying Stars and activating the positive Flying Stars.

Purchasing and Selecting Property with Feng Shui:

Feng Shui, when applied to Real Estate, does not replace the services of your Realtor, but rather works as an adjunct, synergistic service to meet your needs.

When purchasing a property, in addition to the usual considerations (cost, location, conveniences, désign, etc.), Feng Shui provides information which can assist you in zeroing in on the right property for you.
