Astrology as a healing tool teaches us to focus on the “pieces” in the chart as steps in the path home, encountering and practicing each ‘step’ as a spiritual dharma.

The twelve signs of the zodiac are twelve archetypes of the human experience on Earth.

Each Natus / astrological chart is a combination of zodiacal signs, planets, houses, and points (the entire circle of the zodiac / astrological chart itself is arranged and held together by the particular energy vectors which create the circle; the relation of one point to another on the circle determines ‘energy quality’ and meaning). The chart represents fundamental options and potentials. Ultimately: Astrology is about self- actualization and SELF-realization; you move from the “piece/pieces” to the ABSOLUTE, the WHOLE.

THE Natus is a map… one can get lost in it. One can be tempted to get lost in the “pieces”, because the pieces ‘distinguish’, providing a temporary (although false) sense of identity, definition, and “specialness”.

But what separates inherently limits. One then becomes trapped in the manifest world of polarity & relativity (the illusion of duality that Vedic teachings refer to a “Maya”).

Healing is always a movement from ‘fracturedness’/brokenness to Wholeness. Astrology as a healing tool would teach us to focus on the “pieces” in the chart, not as ends in themselves, but as steps in the path Home, encountering and practicing each ‘step’ as a spiritual dharma. As one focuses on each ‘piece’/point in the chart in turn, one eventually experiences a quantum shift in awareness from the pieces to the whole. We are seeking Spirit underlying form and evidenced through it. When we lose sight of Spirit because we hold onto form as an end in itself, we lose awareness of wholeness: form is intrinsically limitation, and limitation is separation (from Infinite Spirit and Real Self).

All Life is a mirror; from Earth, the mirror is shattered; we need to see the ‘self’ reflected in as many pieces of the ‘mirror’ as possible (in order to see unity behind apparent differences); then you learn to re-integrate the pieces into the Whole. You realize, more and more, that you are reflected in each of the zodiacal archetypes.

Astrology is a Language; it establishes and directs perception (“the medium is the message”, Blander & Grinder, Symbolic Interactionism). This is powerful. All we ever encounter in our lives, is NOT the world, or anything ’outside’. We only encounter our own perceptions.

Astrology is a language that can shift you from the ‘pieces’ to the Whole.

The natus/chart is a picture of what the sky (the Heavens) looked like (astronomically) at birth, from the place & time of 1 st breath. Breath establishes locus in the space-time continuum; it establishes personal matrix within matrix (the way we do our breath is the way we do our life).

The chart always provides ‘the way’: it is our map of the Heavens that shows us a way back (from within) to our Self, our Source, and the Heaven from which we came.
