The New Moon occurred on September 21st, at an anorectic degree of Virgo (29 degrees, 5 minutes). All New Moons are markers of potential, of new beginnings, and are important... this one, especially so: it occurred in conjunction with a solar eclipse (partial), and it was in an out-of-sign conjunction to a World Point (Libra, 00 degrees, 00 minutes). It was also tightly opposed by retrograde transiting Neptune (at Aries, 00 degrees, 48 minutes) which conjuncts the zodiacal World Point (Aries, 00 degrees, 00 minutes).

When the Moon is in New Phase, it is in Shadow, in Darkness. This darkness is not a cold, empty, baron blackness; it is not the "enemy" or "vanquisher" of Light; it is a crucible for Light. Darkness is the VOID that is the Womb of creation. It is where inspirations... the inner, faint promptings of spirit... can be planted, even in their most fragile beginning states; where they can be sheltered and nourished, and can grow.

Our inspirations are not insignificant, even when they appear so 'small' that they are practically invisible. They can bring enrichment and undreamed-of possibilities... as long as they are held close to the heart and planted, with care, in the right "soil". The New Moon directs this planting, marking the right time and the right place.
